The sociocultural center Nellie Nashorn in Lörrach has been in existence  for the past 30 years, located in a 19th century mansion.  The main building accommodates the office, two lecturing rooms and a tavern with a  stage.  An event hall and a  cinema is located in the adjoining buildings.

Over 200 events take place in the cultural center every year, as there are concerts, comedy, readings, theater and many participative and sociopolitical formats.  In the cultural center, actively committed people can try out their creative ideas, supported by the staff of the house. 

The Nellie Nashorn is home to more than 20 local initiatives and groups.  Considering its location where  three countries meet  – Germany, France, Switzerland – in the “Dreiländereck,“ the Cultural Center is eager to realize cross-border offers and projects.
