Since 1976, MOTTE – Verein für stadtteilbezogene Kultur- und Sozialarbeit e.V. has been a think tank and active cooperation partner in Hamburg/Altona. 

The center offers cultural programming and classes for children, young people and the elderly. Teams of volunteers organize public workshops. 
MOTTE is a meeting place for initiatives and voluntary engagement. Comprehensive advisement opportunities and a public meeting place are provided for young people. Kindertreff provides daycare for children ages two and up.

The promotion of cultural education and media competencies and projects concerning professional orientation have been developed into points of focus by the MOTTE team. Interdisciplinary, intercultural and international projects are realized over the course of a variety of cooperations. MOTTE has continuously professionalized itself over the years, breaks new ground for exemplary and innovative project work and is a dedicated member of regional and international networks.
