KulturFabrik Löseke e.V. (KUFA) has existed as a socio-culture center since 1992 and is thus the oldest and largest institution for independent culture in Hildesheim.

3,500 square meters of space for independent cultural work are available in the former factory building of the Löseke company. KUFA brings events from a wide variety of artistic disciplines together under its roof. It presents approximately 700 events per year with a total of over 60,000 visitors.

KUFA is dedicated to diverse cooperations. In projects like Beautiful People, Babel im Park, Gleis 5, Heimathaven, Hobo Jazzbar and Hildesheimer Wallungen, KUFA brings people with different cultural and social backgrounds together.

The central goal of the project work in the institution is the active incorporation of citizens in creative and artistic (transformation) processes. By making the participants active, independent initiatives and responsibility are strengthened, knowledge is shared, participation is realized and tolerance is promoted. KUFA supports an active democracy.
