Die VILLA is the sociocultural center in the heart of Leipzig. Every week, more than 100 activities and events take place here - in great variety and for all ages.

More than 90,000 visitors come to the house per year. Almost half of these are children and young people, a quarter is seniors. The proportion of people with disabilities or with a migration background is above average in Leipzig.

In addition, VILLA maintains two project sites in two "deprived quarters" of Leipzig. These and our school social work at three particularly challenging schools prepare the way for the access to cultural education and integration projects. For its successful integration work, VILLA received the Saxon Prize for Sociocultural Engagement 2016. 

Important projects of the VILLA are the mixed-abled dance company "Tanzlabor Leipzig", the community workshop "Makerspace Leipzig", the participation project "KulturLeben Leipzig", the integration program "Welcome to Leipzig" or the exchange program "Year for Europe".
