Stella Karachristianidou holds a diploma of Greek Philology (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece) and a master’s degree in “Art, Literature, and Society” (University of Maastricht, The Netherlands). Part of her master’s was an internship at Sismanoglio Megaro, the cultural center housed by the Greek Consulate in Istan- bul, where she gained substantial experience in the fields of public and cultural diplomacy and of cultural manage- ment. She also worked as a Greek language instructor in Istanbul, teaching people from different cultural back- grounds and using the language to introduce them to the Greek culture. Additionally, she worked as an assistant in the Pinelo Gallery (Istanbul), where she co-organized exhibitions and conferences in Greece aiming to create an intercultural dialogue between Greek and Turkish artists. With her work, she wants to show that culture can be found in the values, ideologies and norms that people have in order to face their reality.
