Angeliki Sampsonidou

2015/16 Giannitsa

Angeliki Sampsonidou was born in Giannitsa, a provincial town of northern Greece. She studied journalism in School for Professional Journalism in Athens, Political Science and Sociology with specialization in minorities at the Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest. She worked as social researcher and sociologist, media monitor and project assistant manager in European programs as well as communication and awareness campaign coordinator in context of her collaboration with NGO’s and other Civil Society’s agents. Youth, multiculturalism, social vulnerable groups and human rights are the issues she is occupied with. She is a youth trainer and educator in Human Rights for young people.

Since 1995 Jugendkulturarbeit e.V. connects cultural projects with children and young people in the fields of dance, theatre, art and music. Cultural – educational workshops and political education with different key aspects offer children and young people the opportunity to deal with their own situation and those of other people in a creative, playful and active way. Jugendkulturarbeit is a community that offers a forum to develop and present the cultural and social interests of its members.
