Opening Event 2019

Celebrate with us the program’s 5th anniversary and the beginning of its concluding year. Looking back and ahead, TRUST is the topic we want to highlight on this special occasion, the magical invisible bond between people who want to create a better future together.

Date: September 26, 2019, 18.30-22.00 hrs.

Venue: Kesselhaus at Kulturbrauerei, Knaackstraße 97, 10435 Berlin

Get your ticket here.

Here is what the evening will offer:

  • Networking opportunities with the 30 cultural managers from Greece and 30 sociocultural centers from Germany that have been selected to take part in the START capacity building and fellowship program 2019/20;
  • Talks and discussions on TRUST, one of the most important ingredients in cultural management when it comes to creating sustainable social impact. Therefore, be inspired by Elias Adam, theater director and START Alumnus, talking about becoming a passionate cultural manager and creating the outstanding initiative Smallville;
  • Insights into new ways to strengthen social cohesion in Greek communities, given by the winners of this year’s START Scaling Awards, provided by the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation and complemented with capacity building by the Bodossaki Foundation;
  • Engage your senses and feel how TRUST can transform into a tangible experience by enjoying the artistic performances of Make Some Noiz, a musical project for kids in Athens, and Circus MoMoLo, the sociocultural circus from Jena.

The event will be in English. Admission is free.
